CHART: The One-Stop Event for Employee Training Trends, Best Practices and Ideas

See how menu, purchasing, and inventory excellence drives profitability.

Hospitality is a skill that takes continuous reflection, empathy, and development – that’s why HotSchedules is joining employee training professionals from across the country at the CHART Conference in Albuquerque, NM from March 2-5. Dubbed the conference by trainers for trainers, CHART seeks to:

1. Prioritize Professional Development

So many trainers put others first – but how do you lead by example if you aren’t making time for your own growth? There are official CHART Competencies that will be awarded to attendees who complete job-role specific workshops and tracks.

Official certificate of Completion for Hospitality Training Competencies

According to LinkedIn, 94% of employees would stay at a company longer if it invested in their career. Lindsey-Moon Lenggenhager, Director of Learning and Development of Flix Brewhouse, leverages our talent development solution for Flix University, an ongoing training program built for their front and heart of house teams. The company has an Achievement-Based Compensation program to allow team members to work toward advancements through on-the-job performance and e-learning engagement. She attributes this program to strengthening Flix’s retention rate, especially during the holidays and summer months.

2. Provide a Networking-Palooza

Scratch deeper than the typical networking surface! Activities and interactions are curated to ensure attendees make high-quality connections that will bring value to their careers, but also their personal growth. Our favorite event to participate in is the service event. This year, CHART is dedicating time to help local college students in hospitality programs understand the different career opportunities available to them. Attendees will be able to share their personal journey with those just starting out in the industry. Do you remember the first hospitality experience that left a lasting impression on you?

3. Send Attendees Home with Endless Resources

Workshops, services events, and completed competencies – oh my! You’ll come to learn about the latest training trends, stay for the networking opportunities and leave with a toolkit of best practices to put you and your brand in the next phase of your hospitality career. Catch us at CHART be sure to say hi!
