To help our customers provide a safe environment for both guests and employees during the pandemic, HotSchedules recently launched an in-app Health Survey. Working closely with a customer task force, we have made improvements and additions making it ready for all HotSchedules customers to start using today – at no additional charge.
Available on all mobile and web apps, this new feature will prompt team members to complete a short health survey based on CDC guidelines once a day. Of course, the responses are confidential, notifying the manager only when a survey response results in a need to make a schedule change. Read on to learn about the latest and greatest.
Activate the Survey for One or All Locations
Brands can implement this feature corporate-wide, while others may choose to test it in a single store. Our latest self-service feature gives store managers the ability to activate the Survey at a site level under “Store Settings.” Above store administrators can turn the survey on/off company-wide in the Above Store Console (ASC).
Push Notifications Help Managers Act Fast
Push notifications will be sent to managers when an employee’s health survey indicates they may not be safe to work that day. These notifications will be visible to managers who have access to the Scheduler. Any team member that answers “Yes” to a survey question will be prompted to reach out to their manager for the next steps.
See Who Can Pick Up a Shift in a Pinch
The Health Survey widget now displays the survey results of employees not scheduled to work so managers can quickly identify employees that may be able to pick up shifts. Additionally, a new badge is displayed on the Scheduler to show the status of team members who have taken the Survey. When approving shift transactions, managers will also see the status of the survey for each employee on the Shift Approvals page.
Health Survey Reporting
In the coming weeks enterprise reporting will be available that not only captures survey responses but also if the employee was scheduled and worked their scheduled shift. With that in mind, our teams will continue to work closely with our community to gather feedback on these critical features and improve upon the Health Survey.
