HotSchedules is pleased and proud to be partnering with Plate IQ and several other industry peers to establish a nonprofit initiative called Gift a Plate. The organization will source and funnel donations to local restaurants so that they can produce meals for local shelters and food banks that are partnered with Gift a Plate. While the nonprofit is currently only offering this service in Bayview, San Francisco, the plan is to expand to several additional markets in the coming weeks. As of this post, more than $25,000 has been donated and nearly 2,200 meals have been delivered!
Gift a Plate is partnered with Access Foundation, a 501c3 organization, and allows consumers to make a donation, either via giftaplate.org or through the dedicated restaurant partner’s giftaplate.org web page, which is then used to purchase prepared food from participating restaurants. Meals are then delivered to local charitable organizations to provide those in need with fresh food. Donations are tax-deductible and 100% of donations will go directly to restaurants feeding families and individuals.

During this difficult and humbling time, we are honored to be a part of bringing food to those who are in need, while supporting our restaurant partners as they look to keep their doors open and their team members employed.”
Additional partners of the program include PayActiv and ICR. Restaurants participating at this time include Mixt, Curry Up Now, Fiorella, Sajj, Tendergreens and Oren’s Hummus.
