Fourth Unveils Revolutionary Partner Programme by Integrating Wireless Social Data for Mutual Customers
LONDON – 28th September 2018 –
Fourth, the leading software provider to the hospitality industry has unveiled a new partner programme that will see it work in partnership with selected software providers to streamline the ever increasing digital services across the hospitality industry.
The announcement comes as Fourth integrated functions from Wireless Social into its Fourth Analytics platform to provide deeper and richer context for its mutual customers. The partnership integrates data from the Wireless Social platform, which, amongst other functions, tracks the number of customers in a venue or location through wi-fi – not just just those logged into wi-fi, but anyone with a smart phone.
When overlaying this data against sales data, operators can add greater clarity to figures. For example, if the sales were average, but the data showed there were a lot of customers at the site, then there have been lost sales and, if a regular occurrence, the team might benefit from upselling training. Equally, Wireless Social’s geographically data can show how busy a city or region within a city has been on a particular day, again adding context to sales figures.
The move to work collaboratively is indicative of the increasingly complicated software environment within hospitality, as companies seek to streamline processes and increase efficiencies across all areas of their businesses, adopting a range of different tech providers to facilitate each function.
Fourth CEO Ben Hood said: “This ground breaking partnership programme sees us align with likeminded businesses, such as Wireless Social, to collaboratively make the lives of operators easier by reducing admin time and giving them better context on their business performance.
“The digital infrastructure has grown exponentially over recent years and operators are becoming more tech focused to offset cost pressures. With this comes great disruption, as team members, managers and the senior team all use a variety of different programmes to look at individual elements of performance in isolation. We want to bring these components together, so they can be viewed in context allowing businesses to absolutely make data-informed decisions that will reduce costs and enhance the customer experience.”
Julian Ross, Managing Director, Wireless Social: “The granular detail that is now available on all aspects of a hospitality businesses performance is astounding. We’ve spent a lot of time and effort developing a platform that fundamentally provides our customers with information that will make their businesses better. Working with a likeminded company like Fourth, who has a wealth of experience and is at the forefront of innovation, means we can come together for the good of our customers and the industry.”
The ground breaking programme, which leverages Fourth’s identity management and Single Sign-On capabilities, will significantly reduce the time and cost of integrating Fourth products with other tech providers, thus increasing efficiencies and making the day-to-day life of team members easier.
The partner network extends across Point of Sale, Financial Management, Time and Attendance, HR, Talent Management and many more areas. It will also see partner technologies integrated into the Fourth Analytics platform to add great intelligence and context for businesses seeking transparent, quick and robust data on their business.
Ben added: “In the past, it’s true to say we have tried to be one platform that looks after every aspect of a company’s digital needs. That is simply no longer possible. What is a necessity is that tech providers work together in harmony and combine innovation for the greater good of the industry.”
