Ben Hood

Chief Executive Officer, joined Fourth in 1999.
Ben has spent his career in retail and hospitality. He trained with Tesco where he focused on retail operations and spent two years with Cap Gemini on the Tesco future team. After eleven years, he joined Fourth as employee #1 and worked closely with the Lilleys in developing our vision. He has been the driving force behind our strategy, has successfully acquired eight businesses and oversaw the 2011 management buyout and the 2015 acquisition by Insight Venture Partners. Ben enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, playing sports and trying to keep fit.

Christian Berthelsen

Chief Technology Officer, joined Fourth in 2003
Early in his career Christian developed web applications and inventory control solutions at FnBshop.com, a private SaaS company he co-founded and sold to Fourth in 2003. He has over 21 years of software engineering and management experience, and oversees the product roadmap, development and infrastructure of all our software. Christian enjoys scuba diving, Formula One and trips to his native Copenhagen.

Simon Bocca

Chief Operating Officer, joined Fourth in 2004
Before Fourth, Simon enjoyed a ten-year career at The Savoy Group, including management positions in hotels and corporate offices. He’s responsible for the operational strategy, which includes implementation, customer service, bureau services, sales and marketing. Simon enjoys lots of eating out, which is offset by cycling with his two black Labradors.

James England

Director of Sales & Marketing, joined Fourth in 2002
James has worked in the hospitality industry for his entire career. He spent seven years in hotel management with Scandic and Intercontinental Hotel Group, followed by seven years at Oracle Micros before joining Fourth. He is now responsible for developing and executing our global sales strategy. In his spare time, James runs, cycles, skis and swims and is a keen traveller.

Stuart Goldblatt

Chief Financial Officer, joined Fourth in 2011
Stuart was an advisor to Fourth before he joined us. Previously he was at KPMG, and for seven years was part of the corporate finance team, focusing on M&A and private equity. Stuart is responsible for all the financial aspects of our strategy, the flow of financial information to stakeholders, and financial and regulatory reporting and planning. He is a chartered accountant with an MSc in finance from Manchester Business School. Stuart enjoys time with his family, cycling, golf and UK soccer team, Manchester United.

Steve Rowley

Steve Rowley

Chairman, joined Fourth in 2018
Steve is an experienced Chairman and CEO in technology and hospitality businesses. His career milestones include ten years in IBM, several years working in Silicon Valley, CEO of Anite plc and subsequently CEO of three privately held firms in the ecommerce, hotel and restaurant sectors. He was previously a non-executive director of Paypoint plc and now sits on the board of several technology firms. Steve’s role is to support the management team and Insight Venture Partners in fulfilling Fourth’s potential. He enjoys skiing, sailing and UK soccer team, Chelsea Football Club.

Ross Devor

non-Executive Director, joined Fourth in 2015
Ross joined Insight Venture Partners in 2013, focusing primarily on leveraged buyouts and majority recapitalizations in software businesses. He also specializes in helping companies improve their operations and achieve inorganic growth. Before Insight, Ross was a member of the investment team at Thoma Bravo and part of Morgan Stanley’s corporate finance/M&A group. An economics graduate from Northwestern University, he is an avid world traveller, keen sportsman and music lover.
