Ben Hood

Chief Executive Officer,  joined Fourth in 1999
Ben has spent his career in retail and hospitality. He trained with Tesco where he focused in retail operations and spent two years with Cap Gemini on the Tesco future team. After eleven years, he joined Fourth as employee #1 and worked closely with the Lilleys in developing Fourth’s vision. He has been the driving force behind delivering the strategy, has successfully acquired six businesses during his time at Fourth and oversaw 2011’s management buyout and 2015's acquisition by Insight Venture Partners. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, playing all sports and trying to keep fit.

Christian Berthelsen

Chief Technology Officer, joined Fourth in 2003
Early in his career, Christian developed web applications and inventory control solutions at FnBshop.com, a private SaaS company he co-founded and sold to Fourth in 2003. He has over 21 years of software engineering and management experience, and oversees the product roadmap, development and infrastructure of all software for Fourth. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving, Formula One and trips to his native Copenhagen.

Simon Bocca

Chief Operating Officer, joined Fourth in 2004
Before Fourth, Simon enjoyed a ten-year career at The Savoy Group, which included various management positions in the hotels and corporate offices. Simon secured the relationships with our early adopting customers and developed the service, implementation and bureau processes. He's responsible for the operational strategy, which includes implementation, customer service, bureau services and staff development. In his spare time, he enjoys lots of eating out, which is offset by cycling with his two black Labradors.

James England

Director of Sales & Marketing, joined Fourth in 2002
James has worked in the hospitality industry for his entire career, including seven years in Hotel Management for Scandic and the Intercontinental Hotel Brands, followed by a further seven years at Micros before joining Fourth. At Fourth, James has enjoyed playing a key role in the growth of the company. He is now responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy. In his spare time, he runs, cycles, skis and swims and is a keen traveller.

Stuart Goldblatt

Chief Financial Officer, joined Fourth in 2011
Stuart joined Fourth in 2011, having previously acted as an advisor to the business. Before then, he was at KPMG, and for seven years was part of the Corporate Finance team, focusing on Mergers & Acquisition and Private Equity. At Fourth, Stuart is responsible for all financial aspects of company strategy, the flow of financial information to stakeholders and financial and regulatory reporting and planning. A chartered accountant with an MSc in Finance from Manchester Business School, Stuart enjoys time with his family, cycling, playing golf and following Manchester United.

Jeff Horing

Chairman, joined Fourth in 2015
Jeff has been a co-founder and Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners since 1995. Under his leadership, Insight now has over eight billion dollars in committed capital for growth investments in software and internet businesses. Jeff’s areas of focus include data, analytics, mobile, and infrastructure and SaaS software in Europe and North America. Jeff has invested in 30+ companies. Prior to founding Insight, Jeff worked at Warburg Pincus and Goldman Sachs. Jeff graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Pennsylvania.

Ross Devor

non-Executive Director, joined Fourth in 2015
Ross joined Insight Venture Partners in 2013, focusing primarily on leveraged buyouts and majority recapitalizations in software businesses, and on supporting portfolio companies’ operating improvements and inorganic growth initiatives. Before Insight, Ross was a member of the investment team at Thoma Bravo, and before then in Morgan Stanley’s Corporate Finance/M&A group. An Economics graduate from Northwestern University, Ross is an avid world traveller, and a keen sportsman and music lover.

David Giampaolo

non-Executive Director, joined Fourth in 2015
David Giampaolo is Pi Capital’s chief executive, a role he has held since buying the firm in 2002. Previously David founded, built and sold several businesses and health club chains in the US and UK. He has financial interests in several other businesses and industries both as an angel investor and co-investor.
